We envision a carbon-free Eastside.

Energy Smart Eastside is a program of the Eastside Climate Partnership comprised of the Washington cities of Bellevue, Issaquah, Kirkland, Redmond, Mercer Island and Sammamish. We work collaboratively to create programs that reduce regional sources of climate pollution and advance collective sustainability.

Comfortable Homes

Everyone deserves the benefits of a healthy, energy-efficient, and comfortable home.

Energy Smart Eastside connects residents with the information, incentives, and resources they need to go electric.

Sustainable Communities

Our program mitigates climate change, improves public health, and creates economic opportunities for more resilient and sustainable communities.

Our goal is to transform the way Eastside households heat and cool their homes.

Ensuring electrification equity

We work to make sure that everyone, regardless of income, can make efficiency upgrades through:

  1. Our partnership with Hopelink for our Boost Program, which covers 100% of heat pump and installation costs for income-qualified homeowners.

  2. Our partnership with King County Housing Authority and Imagine Housing, through which we support whole-building retrofits that increase comfort and reduce costs for building tenants.

  3. Connecting Eastside residents to all available rebates offered through our program, Puget Sound Energy, manufacturers, and the Inflation Reduction Act.

  4. Connecting residents of all incomes to qualified, highly trained HVAC contractors for heat pump quotes, installation, and heat pump maintenance.

Meaningful progress toward our goals

We’ve made great strides already as we work toward electrifying the Eastside.
